NUR152: Google Scholar

This guide is an overview of research databases in the Scottsdale Community College Library, and how to choose which one(s) are best for the topic you are researching.

Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.

Google Scholar does not necessarily take you to free sources. It will often take you to vendors who will charge you for access to content.  That same content may be available from one of the SCC Library's Databases.  You can link Google Scholar to the SCC Library's holdings. Watch the video to the right or read instructions for linking the two resources.
