The SCC Library Book Club invites you to join us for a hybrid in-person/virtual discussion for Our Missing Hearts by Celeste Ng on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 12-1:30pm.

About the Book

Twelve-year-old Bird doesn’t talk about his mother, a Chinese American poet who left the family three years ago. Her poetry has been deemed unpatriotic by the U.S. government, so she fled to keep her family safe. But when Bird receives a mysterious letter containing only a cryptic drawing, he is drawn into a quest to find her. 

Join us in reading this dystopian novel that explores power and resistance, art, connection, and family bonds.
